IMPORTANT : Update from August 25, 2026
As conditions have improved, we have just learned that Tête Rousse and Goûter huts are scheduled to reopen on Wednesday, August 26
(read municipal order ARR2026_015 SECU below).
Please note that the official reopening of these huts does not mean the route is free of risk.
Each climber is responsible for assessing access conditions and deciding—based on those conditions—
whether to proceed with the climb or turn back.

IMPORTANT
The FFCAM does not allow the resale of reservations in its huts
Access to the Normal Route of Mont Blanc :
The Haute Savoie prefecture requires you to have with you the supporting document for your reservation. This must be presented during any inspection, in paper or electronic format, accompanied by a valid identity document. It will also be presented when you arrive at the shelter.
Mont Blanc Tram Train :
The Mont-Blanc tramway is scheduled to begin operating on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

The FFCAM is no longer the manager of the Nid d'Aigle refuge.

Reservations in the Mont Blanc normal route huts (Nid d'Aigle, Tête-Rousse and Goûter refuges) are subject to specific regulations provided for by the prefectural decree (please take some knowledge by downloading it below). It includes a unique reservation system with compulsory entry of the names of the participants in the stay. Since the 2020 season, some changes have been implemented for professionals, please read the press release below.
